Asher Chibondo's comeback, literally.

A story of hope. A story of resilience.

Asher Chibondo got 18 points the first time he sat for his MSCE in 2022, and he was dissatisfied and even though I suggested we apply for university, he seriously rejected all my efforts as he felt it was not in his best interests to be anything smaller when I was pursuing a medical degree.

He wrote @Maranatha Academy director Mr Kaonga, requesting a fully funded scholarship to sit for his MSCE again.

BUT HE WAS TOO LATE.

MANEB REGISTRATION HAD CLOSED.

So he was forced to start from Form 3 again, and accepted at Maranatha, he worked hard, and became an instructor for his fellow students.

When he got 13 points in 2024, he cried.

Yeah seriously.

He said he thought he was coming with a single digit.

7 points or 8 points.

But fate had other plans.

He later applied for NCHE selection, I personally applied for him...

Hoping for a medical path just like me.

Dental surgery it was, as the first choice.

Pharmacy,

Or physiotherapy,

Optometry,

NCHE said you don't know me😭😂😂💔

He was redirected to Chancellor college, into a Bachelor of Arts and Communication studies program.

We were sad. Shocked.

I kind of blamed myself for his failure.

Maybe my programme choices were bad.

Then we discovered something crazy😭😭😭

Actually, he was selected into two programs😭😭

Bachelor of Electronics. Using the 2022 certificate where he got 18 points😭😂.

We felt that was the better program...

Everyone was considering resitting MSCE.

I SAID DON'T STRESS.

You are very much like me in most ways.

You like history.

You like writing.

You like politics.

In as much as you are good at sciences, you are also very good at history and humanities...

I see a career in law in you.

This is a blessing in disguise brother.

You will be a lawyer.

Go to Chancellor college and be at the top of your class in BACOM...

NOT ELECTRONICS.

BACOM....

he went there, and it was evident that the program was too small for him.

I encouraged him to still do it, and go for the law school application when it was opened.

He applied.

One application.

But guess what😭😭😭

He was picked twice😭

Yes shortlisted with two names for one application 😭

That's just crazy😂😂😭

Was this a sign?

Today, Asher Chibondo has confirmed it, even so awesomely that if you are determined.

You always get to achieve your dreams.

I was very worried that he won't make it, not because he was not capable, but by merely looking at the competition that was there...

Congratulations young bro.

I am very much excited for this win, but the journey is just starting.

You will be tested, but you should overcome.

The path that you are going, is not going to be easy.

But just as you thought bacom was too easy, this program will be different.
